The River Poets came together the way the best bands always do — a shared love of great songs, a rehearsal room, and a stubborn refusal to let the music stop.
Simon Pettitt drives the sound with electric guitar that can go from clean and shimmering to full-on rock without missing a beat. Holding everything together in the engine room are Pete Alexander on drums and Andy Lee on bass — a rhythm section that knows when to push and when to lock in and breathe.
Lorna Keane layers the songs with keyboards that fill every corner of the room, while her husband Mark Keane brings warmth and texture on 12-string acoustic alongside lead vocals. And rounding out the lineup, John Jackson adds lead vocal, and acoustic guitar – giving the band a richness that sets them apart from your average covers act.
Together they play the songs that matter — drawn from the last few decades of rock, pop and everything in between. Nothing too polished, nothing too safe. Just six people who love music, playing it the way it deserves to be played.
